i think he is in between expressions here but his hair was too good not to share and i was surprised to see how well this camera dealt with the noise at 6400 iso

one of my all-time favorite illustrator/painters and a huge source of, er, “inspiration” as you will notice from perusing her site, this girl is knocking ‘em out like nobody’s business…evidenced clearly by the header on her website which let’s you know that you are entering Kiersten’s Killing Field which is almost as intimidating as the site alone, aptly titled for the rest of us: You Fail
it was originally built by the three stooges over here at the Forge as a “hair/makeup/wardrobe loft” that overlooked the studio and it was a grand idea but just never got utilized that swell as such. so when Collins and Cal’s band Eating Faces needed a place to play, we took a few days off to become construction workers again. Now uncle jesse’s practice space is once again, where’d kimmy gibbler when i need her?
so, i didn’t think about it when i chose this photo, but i have been wanting to kill the solipsistic nature of this blog for a while now and it just so happens that this photo by Erik Burke ended up being a nice coincidental metaphor for the first non me image, see i wouldn’t have been able to intentionally think of this, but yeah, i suppose once in a while bones are thrown.
check out the profiles and stories of our amazing Phootcamp adventure up in the SF Bay Area. Thanks to Laura Brunow Miner for the invite, can’t wait for next year. Below was my contribution to the event. We decided to shoot the group shot the first night we arrived which was a little awkward since no one knew each other and I wanted them all in their underwear running around a butt cold campsite at midnight. A little fire, a lot of whiskey, and somehow we scrambled away with a shot.
